EXCEPTIONAL STEAK

A really old-fashioned location, embellished by very kind staff. They serve excellent house wine and great starters, too, and I absolutely loved the rigatino, or Tuscan salt-cured bacon, and the buffalo mozzarella, though perhaps the prices were slightly high compared to the servings. Then, we had a tenderloin steak, not a cheap choice, but it was definitely well-spent money...the meat was excellent, tasty, and tender, cooked 'alla Fiorentina' way, namely rare! I was a bit disappointed with their side dishes, as I couldn't find fresh porcini mushrooms; in fact, they only had mushrooms cooked in olive oil, parsley and garlic. Even the broccoli weren't fresh, although good. Even the price of the wine came as a surprise: as per the menu, the wine we had cost € 8, but it was listed in the total bill with a price of € 9. In my opinion, the overall cost was a bit too much compared to what the place and the location offer; however, the steak was so exceptional that I think they deserve a high score, although there are aspects they should improve. 

MAGNIFIQUE! FABULOUS!

A great restaurant, in a fabulous setting, located in one of the many unique Tuscan landscapes. Getting there was easy, as it is 10 km from the motorway exit of Barberino.



We went to the restaurant with the intention to eat a fabulous Chianina steak. The meat was delicious and melted in the mouth. As a starter, we had their excellent cold cuts, accompanied by a good Tuscan wine and then, to cap it all, a wide assortment of desserts - the chocolate panna cotta and the walnut semifreddo were just superb. Everything is taken care of down to the smallest detail, from local hand-crafted knives to the cooking of the meat, to the side dishes, to the dishes served hot for meat servings - these are what makes a difference. In short, everything was accompanied by the joy, friendliness, and hospitality of the two owners - husband and wife. We will surely be coming back. A unique experience.

IF YOU TRY IT, YOU WILL BE BACK!

When in the area of Mugello, you must stop at Il Bronco. I have eaten a similar Florentine steak anywhere else. I highly recommend it. Family-run restaurant, very courteous and attentive service. Prices adjusted to the quality of the products served.

You can not go to Mugello without stopping at this fantastic place. Top kitchen, welcoming and homey and fair, honest prices ... Excellent.

HOME-MADE COOKING, EXCELLENT HOSPITALITY

The restaurant is a stone's throw from Scarperia - within walking distance from the town centre. Its interior is taken care of down to the smallest detail, and the restaurant offers a traditional Tuscan cuisine menu with some Calabrian dish additions. I went there with my family on holiday: my parents are loyal customers of Il Bronco. I ate until full: excellent food, excellent wine, wonderfully quiet and friendly atmosphere. Even though an organised event was taking place in the adjacent room, our orders were promptly seen to without the quality of the dishes and service being compromised. The owners are very friendly and know how to put customers at ease.

Equipped with an adjacent car park, the restaurant offers an excellent view of a fantastic, traditionally Tuscan panorama.

GREAT RISOTTOS AND FISH DISHES ON RESERVATION

The restaurant is an old rustic farmhouse, with a nice terrace for you to enjoy in summertime. Their specialities include delicious risottos, but in general, all the dishes on their menu are of great quality, including their pizzas. On reservation, you could have seafood lunch or dinner. And I must say that I have never found a seafood restaurant of such high quality in Mugello.

For a seafood lunch, you would spend between € 40 and € 50 - depending on the wine(s) you choose and, obviously, the number of bottles you order. For a classic lunch, the price can range from € 30 to 40.

A PLACE TO TRY

I went there several times and was always gratified by their excellent-quality food, traditional cuisine, elegant wines, and cosy place. I recommend trying their grilled T-bone beefsteak cooked 'alla Fiorentina' way at least once. The table near the panoramic window is particularly special. I also highly recommend this place to motorcyclists, as it is located on road near Passo del Giogo, essentially at the entrance to the international Mugello Circuit.

A JOURNEY TO SCARPERIA WITH YOUR FAMILY

I had the pleasure of eating at this fantastic restaurant in Mugello at the Christmas lunch organised by my office co-workers. Oh my, I don't know what to say! All was absolutely wonderful! Delicious and rich appetisers. But their sliced steak with juniper berries stood out more than anything else! It was well seasoned and accompanied by an excellent wine as well as a special and family-friendly atmosphere! Giovanna and Maurizio, the owners, are two wonderful people! FABULOUS!!!

A very nice restaurant, with its owners being very attentive and hospitable but not at all intrusive, as often happens in small towns. The food reminded me of my grandmother's cooking. So, I highly recommend it to everyone.
